This week we were able to leave our mission countries and travel up to Hungary and spent several days in Budapest with the other Seminary and Institute Senior Couples serving in Eastern Europe. We had two directors there to train us, one is from Romania and the other is from Germany.
It is was wonderful to gather together with other couples experiencing the same things that we are so we could share ideas and experiences with each other. The weather was freezing and rainy the whole time we were there, we all were hoping for Spring temperatures and no rain.
We all feel very blessed to be S&I Missionaries, because we all love the young people and the missionaries in our missions. It was a blessing to be able to travel to this very interesting historic city.
This is our hotel, it was once a communist hotel. It was very plain and the elevator didn't work very well, there was several times we took the stairs 14 flights, but we decided it was good exercise for us.
The first night we had a false fire alarm, it made things exciting for all of us. We had about 5 bus tours staying at the same hotel with us, two of which were all teenagers.
This is a view of the room doors.
