Senior Missionary Conference

On Tuesday we had two more wonderful senior couples join our mission, bringing the number of senior couples up to 15, plus three single senior sisters.  What a powerful blessing this is to have so much experience and wisdom and spiritual strength here.  Our influence as senior couples is grounding to the members, they know they can always count us, because we are here for them in every way. 
On Thursday all the senior missionaries traveled up the mountain here in Zagreb to a beautiful Ski Lodge for our senior missionary conference.  We stayed at the lodge for two nights and it was wonderful.  The accommodations were beautiful and the surrounding forest was a winter wonderland.
Our conference was very uplifting and inspiring, we all left feeling better about ourselves and our service here.  Our mission is changing dramatically with the increase number of missionaries now coming to our mission.  We have only had 47 full time missionaries here, which is a very low number since our mission includes four countries.  We all feel a change in the air, we see a change in the members and know that the Lord is hastening His work here upon the earth, it really is an honor to be a part of this historical time in missionary work and also be a part of establishing the Church here in Eastern Europe. 
All weekend I had this wonderful feeling and then on Saturday the words came to my mind to describe my feelings, "Sweet is the Peace the Gospel Brings" the words from this hymn describe my feelings I felt as I spent the weekend with 35 people who have given up everything to serve the Lord.
