The time has come for us to leave for our mission. We have been preparing since October of 2011 when we sent our papers in. The preparation to leave requires a lot of work and organization, but nothing you prepare for prepares you to say good bye to your dear friends and love ones. And nothing prepares you better for leaving to serve a mission than all the love and support we have received from our friends and family. It is easy to say good bye to the stress of life to serve the Lord full time, but not so easy to say good bye to your sweet grandchildren you know will change while you are gone. Or to say good bye to our sweet niece JaKelle who has been in ICU for over 2 months. Our hearts are with her and her sweet parents who never leave her side. So saying good bye requires our faith and courage that we are doing the right thing not just for ourselves but also for our family.
I am looking forward to sharing with all of you everything I can about the beautiful counties and cultures of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia.
