Some of you older friends and older family members may remember "Captain Kangaroo" on TV years ago, it was a children show, well, he had a side kick named Mr. Green Jeans and he wore green overalls. All the city workers here in Croatia look like Mr. Green Jeans because they all wear green overalls!
We had such a nice weekend, we drove up to Slovenia on Saturday afternoon and spent the night so that we could get up on Sunday and attend Church in Ljubljana. We came to attend a Fireside with the young single adults after Church. President and Sister Rowe spoke on how to overcome obstacles that may stop us from achieving our goals. The senior couple that serve here in Slovenia served everyone lunch after Church and then we went to the Fireside. It has been raining all day here. The weather went from a very hot week in the 90's all week to within one day rain and the temperatures dropping to the 50's! Yesterday when we got to Slovenia we went to our cute hotel and then went for a hike in this beautiful canyon called Vintgar Gorge. It is near Lake Bled and is very popular with the tourist because it is cool and the water is so clear and the trail is excellent. We really loved it and enjoyed being in the outdoors so much. I took lots of pictures.
Now all of you who know Richard know that the whole time we were hiking you know what he was looking at and you will understand why he loved this place so much. A 20 inch Rainbow trout with lots of friends swimming throughout the stream with him.
Gage wanted to know if Richard caught it? What a beautiful hike. Love you guys.

Carrie! I caught up on your blog today. Looks like things are going swimmingly! It is great to get a glimpse of what you are doing and to see more of Ryan's mission. I sent a note to you via Jasna but I don't know if she was able to get it to you. It wasn't anything grand, but since she was here I couldn't resist. Wishing you all the best!
