Our New Home!

We are finally moved!  We ended up getting into our apartment this past weekend and we moved ourselves, which made for lots of stair climbing at our old apartment, but we did it!  We just love our new place and feel so blessed to have such a comfortable normal apartment, with central air!  No one has central air here, so this is an added bonus for us when the summer heat comes around again next year.  We have 2 nice size bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, we also have a nice large kitchen and front room with a small patio.  The apartment is new and modern with beautiful wood floors.
One of the main things we had to have was parking for our car and this place has a large underground parking garage, so in the winter we will not have to deal with snow on our car or a frozen car.
We also wanted a place near the Centar and close to a Tram stop and this one has both, because our plan is to have the young people over to our place for dinner and activities, so they can ride the tram right to our apartment now.  Our other apartment was not close to Centar or a tram.  We can also have the Elders over to dinner now too, which I look forward to. (we have no sisters in Zagreb)  Richard and I both agree that one of the best parts of a mission is our association with the young missionaries.
Here are some pictures of our new place:

We have cable TV with wireless Internet now too, we actually watched TV this week, because we  have American TV shows in English, we just sat there on our new couch and stared at the TV for hours.  I don't know if you have ever heard of the "Magic Jack" phone but it is wonderful.  This is how it works; we have a land line phone with our old home phone number, we plug it into our computer and it hooks up to the "Magic Jack" and we can call the States for free and you can call us for free too.  Now anyone can get a hold of us if there are any problems back home.

We also have electric blinds for all the windows, these blinds here are amazing they close out all light and noise and weather.  I really love them, we should have them in the States!

Our guest room has 2 twin beds, so we are ready for guests!

This elevator is one of our favorite new friends here in Zagreb, we appreciate our elevator so much.
I think climbing our spiral staircase for the past 4 months at our old apartment has made us bitter towards stairs!
