Beautiful Lake Bled

We are in line to enter Slovenia, it is usually not this long of a wait.

We drove up to the most beautiful city in our mission to attend a seminary class.
The teacher drives an hour once a week to teach two brothers seminary.
They are such nice boys and so cute they are 15 and 16 years old.
They live in the country in a small town Gorje right next to this Church.
There parents were there and we were able to meet them, such a nice family.
They drive over 45 minutes to get to Church each Sunday
This town sits right below the Alps, it is a very popular vacation place in Europe.

The Alps

Our Alpine Pension where we spent the night.  It was so nice and new and clean!

This is the view from the Castle of the surrounding area near Lake Bled.

This is Lake Bled and the famous island with a Church on it.  This area and this lake really is one of the most beautiful lakes we have ever seen.

This is a castle that sits on the cliffs above Lake Bled.  It was very nicely restored and had a great view of Lake Bled and the island with the church.  Across the lake from the castle we could see the longest and best Alpine Side we had ever seen, it looked like a blast.

We really love our assignment being the Seminary and Institute coordinators of our mission because we get to travel our whole mission and visit each unique and beautiful country, meet the wonderful people here and get to know all the missionaries in our mission.  I think everyone is jealous of us because we get a car and get to travel and take advantage of the opportunity of being in Europe on a mission.  We feel very blessed and really just love it here.
The Church needs strong members over here so badly to help the Branches function. The roles of the senior missionaries here are essential to the functioning of the Church here.  The future of the Church here lays in the hands of the young people, so many of them join the Church, but fall away.  Our job is going to be to find everyone of them and invite them to come back.
Those who have joined the Church tell me when I ask them what attracted them to the Church they tell me it was the Spirit.  They felt something good that gives them hope and peace.
It is so simple and yet powerful enough to change lives.  We must never underestimate the power of the Holy Ghost in our lives and the influence for good that He can have upon us and our families.
From Carrie with love
